I failed my theory test three times. How long did it take to pass yours?

I must be considered a failure to fail this three times I just cant believe it the first time I got 29 and then I got 48 on hazard perception. Second time I got 27 and 44 on HP then yesterday which really annoyed me is I got 27 and 53 on hazard perception. Can anyone recommend me a solution to pass this I really am feeling down about it and I be sure not to rush into to taking it again lol. Anyway I gonna go to the gym  to kill my so called sorrows and I no it aint the end of the world but I waisting money.

look forward to the replies. so sad.

I passed mine first time ( I didnt have to do the HP when I did mine) but my boyfriend failed his and passed second time, because of the HP.

Are you using a cd to practice with?

Yeah, it's worthwhile getting a CD, for both the theory and hazard perception. I used the 'Focus' ones, they're about £10 each on Amazon, but i'm sure they didn't cost me that much so it might be worth shopping around. Sounds expensive, but actually answering questions and practicing hazard perception can be more useful for passing than just reading through a book, and it's worthwhile if it means you only have to pay for one test

I passed first time. I used a book with the Highway Code and every question they use and practiced with that, and also used a hazard perception DVD.
It's definitely worth it, I'd recommend it.

I spent ages on the CD rom and revising the Highway code, yet the first time I took mine I still got something like 26 on the questions and 37 on the hazards. I swear the CD rom I had on the hazards was misleading.
yeh i started revising just 48 hours before my thoery test

its sounds like "thats all" but with the CD, its sooo easy

passed first time i read the highway code once all the way thro tested myself with it and used a 3 n1 cd which i bought from amazon for 3 pound
Sounds like you don't know enough of the highway code as you're failing the theory part each time. I'm using the CD rom's myself, and find them to be really helpful. Also read your highway code or bits of it that you're not sure about. Good Luck.

Dont worry mate...I NEVER admit this to anybody but I passed my theory test on the 4th attempt! :s-smilie:

The hazard perception part was never the problem, it was always the questions. The first time I done my theory, I got 27. A few months later, I tried again and I got 29. I was sooo frustrated with the whole driving thing and totally gave up for 2 years (which I now regret...NEVER give up). About 2 months ago, I done the theory test for the third time and got 29!! Though I was very frustrated, I didnt give up and booked my 4th theory test for a week later. I spent that week revising hardcore. I went in for the test and got 32! And now Ive got my driving test coming up soon.

I would DEFINITELY suggest signing up to www.***********s.co.uk and paying for the theory practise tests. It only costs £6.99 and for a whole month, you can practise your theory test as many times as you want. It was this that helped me pass as almost all the questions came up in the actual test.

Good Luck and never give up...it feels so good when you finally pass x

why is it not working???:s-smilie:
Yea, buy/loan/borrow the CD, its worth it and the money will be well spent rather than another test. I got 35/35 as majority of the questions I had seen at some point on the CD. Preparation is the key.

I passed first timee, just read the highway code, the qustions are based on this, and the HP isnt that hard just watch the instructions at the beginning, then do what it says, if you have had in car practice it is better as you r more aware of the hazards

I have the computer software called Driving Test Success All Tests. It includes a pass guarantee so if you fail again you get money back or something. But it tracks your progress through the mock tests and highlights areas which you need to revise more. Good luck with your next test.
First time...
ye i passed the first time without using any books (although i did use a CD to practice the hazard perception). I think the hp is where most people muck up, which is why i think a cd would help you. The questions are mostly common sense imo but if you're struggling with them, highway code should help.
BSM do a whole pack with CD rom and all the book you need for about £20 i think.

I passed first time. The questions were fine obv and I had a CD for the hazard perception (although it only had one example on it so was a bit lame). My driving instructor just said to click literally every time something changes, don't think about it too much, and don't click in any kind of rhythm/more than once every 3 secs or you'll get done for overclicking. It seemed to work, I did reasonably well.

I passed 2nd time. Failed by 3 marks on hp the first time. Its actually easy, you have to be cool and use the cds.

If you buy a CD with lots of practice for boith sections you should be fine - mine also covers hints for the practical test too, and has over 100 hazard perception bits in it and a few thousand multiple choice questions - all for less than £10.
