    Hello everyone,

    I'm starting college soon to study Building Services Engineering with a view of progressing to a masters in Sustainable Energy.

    It has been a while since I was last in this type of education and I'm excited about getting back into it.

    It's stationary shopping time and I'd appreciate some advice on a few things;

    1. Which kind of calculator would you recommend?
    (I'd prefer to invest now and have it throughout.)

    2. Where to buy supplies? (online and/or in store)

    3. Any suggestions on things I may need/want?

    Many thanks!
    Check with your college first as they may tell you which ones they allow / don't allow. Wouldn't want to buy something now you can't use in exams.

    Student Unions usually have a shop, or WHSmith is perfectly fine.

    There's lots of advice for things you will/won't need on TSR so have a look but don't feel you need to rush out and buy it all now. Generally a notepad, a couple of folders and a hole-punch will be enough to get started with.

    Good luck and enjoy being a student!
