white things on your nose???

you know on the side of your nose where it joins the face, some of you may have these like little bits of white stuff the sort of protrudes and u cn pull them out, right?
well, my question is... wat are these called? i dont think their blackheads, cuz they not black, and they definately not spots, so i dont know. any one know??

I think they're called comedones. I think is the proper term for blackheads too, but blackheads can be white also, I think they turn 'black' when the goo in them hits the air and oxydises.

They're pores blocked by something called sebum, which is excreted by pores in order to keep the skin oily and waterproofed. There's nothing wrong with your nose, don't worry. :smile:

i think there white spots and they wont "pop" if you try and get them. the thing my mum tells me to do is to pirce with a pin so you can let alll the gunk out :wink:
