Having just received my GCSE results, I am now as confused as ever when it comes to choosing my A levels. I have to make a decision regarding A levels by this upcoming Thursday and i'm worried making the wrong choices will effect me in the future. Until this year I was certain I wanted to go into medicine but now i'm disillusioned by the whole idea and couldn't possibly commit my whole future to one career. I have no clue what career I want and the only option i'm positive i'll take is maths. Any suggestions?

I was the exact same last year, just try to take something from every discipline just to keep your options open. Like, Maths, Science, English and something else. That way you have a little more time to think about your career.

Going into Medicine isn't just one career, if you push yourself hard enough you can specialise in something or go into research

I know but compared to a range of other degrees it doesn't give you many opportunities in fields away from medicine (it's pretty specialist), you have to be extremely dedicated and I don't think i'd be ready for that
