    Hi all,

Got my GCSE results and got a B in all sciences but a C in Maths (I flopped the non-calc). My Q is about Core maths. This is the only course I can do of maths and I want to know if it's good for sciences, because for Uni I'd like to do a course in medicine. If I take core maths, will I be fine? Their site states that it helps in 'sciences' but fails to go into detail. Am I better off taking Bio, Chem and Phys instead of Bio, Chem and Core maths?
    Thanks.

For Medicine, either combination is fine but to be honest, you'll struggle with Maths at A-Level (and possibly Physics) with a C at GCSE. Many Medical Schools also require at least a B in GCSE Maths so you'll need to apply carefully when the time comes.

So if I take Bio, Chem and Core maths, It's the same as taking Bio, Chem and normal maths? I wont be rejected for taking core which is a level 3 or something?
