Hello my Name is william I am 19, most of my school time was pratting about and doing unimportant/fun qualifications i.e. As art, GCSE pe e.c.t. I have figured what i want to do in life! Be a deck officer in the Royal Fleet Auxiliary, But need Cs in Maths, Science and English Gcse or Equivalent! I have been to one local college in plymouth who said i need to do a Functional skills maths level 2... before doing maths and physics GCSE... but can do English GCSE because i have a D in that! Ways i think i can do this are...
1)Reserves and college doing functional skills maths level 2, and gcse English, then doing Physics and Maths the next year, Total 2 years...
2)Regular in the royal navy at least 11 Months specialist training, then do them after i pass out of the navy/sea time.
3)Not sure if possible but Royal Navy to sponsor me to go back to college, before i complete my 10 weeks at Raleigh and 10 months phase2 training.

Any help from anybody would be amazing and greatly valued! thank you.

    HI
I am currently training to be deck office in the MN with a different company.
If you're confident you could pass the exam you could resist them as a private candidate or go back to college and study them, as Math is something you need to be good at.
I would say the RFA is one of the best companies to get with, it just makes it hard to get into, so don't be affaird to go with other compaines, then once qualified to go and join the RFA .
