Does anyone else get really anxious about going to parties, because they just feel they'd be really awkward there (especially ones where there isn't a lot of your close friends going) or is this just me?

For me it's not so much anxious as just refusing to go. It just isn't my scene and probably isn't yours. Alcohol helps a tiny bit but yeah, socialising at that kind of scale with a certain type of people (i.e extroverts or people leaning towards that side) I don't really do.
