    Hi all,

I have these vitamin tablets I have to take, they are capsules with powder in. I'm going on holiday soon abroad and I'm worried they will be taken off me. Someone said I need a prescription but I didn't get them from a doctor. Would it be best to put these in hand luggage or keep them on me?

Where did you get them from, if you say they're medication (but not prescribed by a doctor)? If it's just over-the-counter stuff then the box and/or paper information sheet should be fine.

Are they legal here? Are they legal where you're going?

They are over the counter stuff but I don't have the box - are from Boots.

Haven't checked if they are legal but they do no harm

If they're from Boots they'll be fine. I didn't know if you were talking about some dodgy supplement you got online etc.

If they're just vitamins do you really need to take them with you? Can you buy another box and take that with you? I'm sure people take meds through all the time, but personally I'd have them in my checked-in bag rather than hand luggage. No problems explaining that if you get questioned.

check with your airline for their regulations... I've never had issues taking medications through security and I usually fly handluggage only
