Does anyone ever get depressed by age and mortality?

Don't know if this is normal but i sometime (especially if i think about it too long) i get quite sad thinking about how we WILL all die, there are no second chances, you only live once and that in the end were just a blip on human history (not to mention the universe).

I don ever feel suicidal or self harming so don't worry but just wondering if any one else feels this?

I got depressed the other day thinking about how our generation is currently at the peak of the human life cycle in our 18-22s, a couple of years from now it's all going to go down hill and another generation will be replacing us. Soon we'll be the older generation that needs to be looked after

I do especially about how I won't look as I do now in a few years time, and then when I'm old. It's easy to forget that most things in life, including the physical, are only temporary!

Existential thought it very common. Especially among the introspective. If it's bumming you out that we're all going to die and be a blip on human history, I think your mindset is in the wrong place. Who cares about the billions of people that won't hear your name or know you died, or know you lived or the billions of years that will go on without you. Just focus on the people that you actually care about. The thing that truly matters is your own experience. Beyond that, you won't experience, so why worry? Nothing exists past your own experience.
