I have a nose ring, it's relatively small and I want to keep it in as much as I can. I am a British Asian and Hindu, and I wear my nose ring as it is cultural and traditional for me. I am recently graduated- would it be frowned upon if I wore my nose ring in interviews, and would I be less likely to get the job? I want to go into a civil service (government), media (journalism), or writing/publishing job. Many thanks in advance!

Small nose piercings should be fine. I would say dress smart and if they have any problem with it, just explain its traditional for you. You shouldn't be turned down for a job just cos of a nose piercing.

those sorts of things are more accepted nowadays and most employers, assuming you generally look smart and professional and the peircing is small, won't think badly of you for it... you will get some who feel it's unprofessional but there's not much you can do if you want to keep wearing it
