I enrolled to the English language course because I love linguistics but over the holidays iv'e been thinking about what job i'm going to do after my degree. During this search i stumbled upon speech and language therapy, which looks very interesting and is related to my degree subject. The uni i'm enrolled to offers this course and i' considering whether i should have enrolled that in the first place. I'm so conflicted. I can do the English course and gain experience during the next few years and then apply to a post graduate course or would it be better to ask to just switch to the undergraduate course???? ( I don't want to end up with a massive lump of debt )

I'd ask to transfer to linguistics so you can become a speech and language therapist straight after your degree, as opposed to doing a postgrad course as that will require more time and £££££. Contact your uni.

You would still have to do postgrad study if you did linguistics or English language tho

Alright I see, I didn't read the website properly my bad, but it says linguistics would still give you a better chance for applying to that 2-year postgrad course

A degree in related fields such as psychology, social sciences and linguistics will increase your chances of being considered. Applications for postgraduate study are made directly to the relevant institution.
