Hi, i want to complete my extended project as quickly as possible - around Christmas time. And thus i have begun to plan what i wish to do. i was thinking of creating a small documentary on missing films and television, how they have been rescued and why they should be. its a matter i have great interest in and mixes many of my A-LEVEL subjects together, the research skills needed for history, the filming techniques needed for Media etc. do you guys think this is wise to do for the EPQ? would i be able to get an A grade through this. cheers.
Is this a good EPQ? Watch

Hi, I did the EPQ and I think this topic definitely has the potential to achieve an A grade. I think you will find an abundance of available research sources so you're going to be able to really explore the area. As for completing it by Christmas, if you start now you should be able to meet that deadline but just don't neglect your other subjects, something I nearly fell into the trap of doing. My topic was Should owning reptiles require a license and registration. I got questioned on it by many people as it was something out of the ordinary and I think yours will attract the same questioning, however, I achieved a grade A and everyone who questioned me got below a C grade so don't let it deter you. Good luck

The topic doesn't actually matter that much. The only thing that matters is that it enables you to have some sort of analysis. Yours lets you analyse/argue whether or not we should bother to recover lost films, and therefore it'll be fine.
