what i mean is, for me i'm an anti-theist and despise religion but have taken Religious Studies at A-level, thats quite strange, right? i'm fascinated with religion and its history, its a good subject to have too and works well with my other subjects. do you have any options that you thought you would never take but are in fact doing so? any subjects that seem very different to your personality and why did you take them? i'd be interested to know, cheers

I'm also taking RS for a level and I'm also an atheist. In order to refute something, you have to know it as well as the person advocating it.

That's not really strange, RS is designed for both theists and atheists alike, and you really learn more about the philosophy of religion, rather than biblical studies or something to that effect. I myself am a deist and I take RS A Level

My combo was Maths, Accounting and Religious Studies. Only reason I took Religious Studies was because I was told it was easy

Alongside three pretty regular subjects (Lit, History, and Politics) I also took a BTEC Level 3 Certificate in Applied Law. Haven't seen anyone else on TSR whose taken the BTEC Law.
