I got an email from a workplace asking for me to bring in:
    • Passport or Full birth certificate and driving licence
    • Proof of NI number
    • Bank details in order to pay you
    • Proof of address

The application mentioned nothing about needing a driving license nor does the job sound like it calls for one, I'm assuming it's just for ID? I also don't have a valid passport. What I do have is a bank statement, NI number, birth certificate and 16+ Oyster photocard. Would this be enough? Should I bring my passport just in case? Must have expired at least ten years ago.

Yes the passport or driving licence/birth certificate is just to confirm your identity. You will need to check what is acceptable with the employer, usually an oyster card isn't considered an acceptable proof of identity.
