    Does your sixth form require you to pass an alegbra test in addition to the entry requirements to do A level maths?

    Yes, mine did.

    I found it very easy and got 95% or thereabouts, it was similar to gcse maths with some C1 content tested

    I had to do it, it was very easy, just basic index laws and factorising.

    There wasn't a formal test as a part of the entry requirements, having said that you needed bare minimum an A to study maths and an A* to do further maths.

    We did have a diagnostic test that everyone sat right at the start of the year which contained a mixture of topics one being algebra. It basically just tested our problem solving skills and ability to apply our existing knowledge. The questions we had were very much like the B/C - A/A* topics at GCSE with some that are like the questions you get in C1 so it's not that bad at all.
