    Hey everyone!

Just wondering whether anyone was thinking of applying to the Cambridge University Sixth Form Law Conference for 2017? We're open to any Year 12 (or equivalent age) student and the week is entirely organised and run by Law undergraduates at the University of Cambridge (of which I am one!).

When I was in Year 12, I went on the Conference and it helped me firmly decide that Law was for me but also that Cambridge was where I wanted to study it, and so I couldn't recommend it enough.

You will stay 3 nights in actual student accommodation in one of the Cambridge colleges, go to lectures hosted by our lecturers and academics, attend workshops held my leading London solicitors' firms and barristers' chambers, and generally get an unbeatable flavour of university life.

Check out our website for more info (www.cambridgesixthformlawconference.com) or drop me an inbox if you have any questions! Also, search Cambridge Sixth Form Law Conference on this site to have a look at previous years' threads set up by delegates!

    Hello Dan

I have just been accepted onto the 2017 Conference. I am a British Citizen but I have only recently returned with my family from the USA where I was educated for 14 years. As I arrived last August, I decided to go back a year into the Lower Sixth which is where I am now, although age-wise should be in the Upper Sixth. To your knowledge, does this preclude me from applying to Cambridge?

    Looking forward to meeting you

    Fortunately, my
college allowed me to have time off for the Cambridge Sixth Form Law Conference and it also doesn't affect my attendance. I'm looking forward to going, and especially for the mock trial and the social with other young people interested in the subject of Law.

Do it! I did it in 2016 and it was amazing! It's fairly easy to get onto, it's a simple form and as long as you go to a State school you'll be fine to get on. Can't rememebr if they asked for grades but I know when I went some people didn't have stellar grades.

Does anyone know when applications open for this year? It says on the website that they open today but they clearly haven't opened yet! Also, do you need to submit a personal statement or anything?

Yikes!!! I thought I was doing well - I applied for a place on the 2018 conference at around 2.30pm this afternoon but the site was already saying the conference had been oversubscribed. Do I have any hope?

I think they left that up from last year's course, as that message was at the top of the page even before this year's applications opened!
