    i have a problem.
I bought a book through Amazon Marketplace and it has not entered the dispatch process. I requested for the order to be cancelled. Will I be charged for cancellation fee? Please bear in mind if I have called amazon and the phone line keeps cutting out. The lady on the phone said i will not pay for a cancellation fee and after another call said something about paying a cancellation fee.

The email sent to me did not confirm it.
Please can anyone advice me if they have been through this problem

Amazon has a Live Chat service so you can speak to an advisor through that if the phone keeps cutting out. Just go to the Help section, and under 'Browse Help Topics' there is something that says 'Need More Help?' - select that and then 'Contact Us.' As you fill in the form by selecting the relevant drop down menus in relation to your item, newer parts of the form will appear, the last one being 'how would you like to contact us?' click the Chat option. If the form drop down menus aren't relevant just select something anyway so you can be put through to chat and you can explain your actual issue then.

Also, it's unlikely you'd be charged for cancelling an item. If the item wasn't dispatched, you should just get your money back fairly soon if your bank didn't put it on hold for the purchase. In the case where it's already been dispatched and you were too late, worst case scenario is that you would have to post it back to them (using a free returns label you'd need to print from Amazon) and get a refund when they receive the returned item.
