At enrolment I was told that I only had three exams in second year for physics A level. They also said that the practical part of the a level didn't count towards my actual grade. Is this true? Everyone else on TSR has AS level grades in physics but if there are no real exams in the first year then do they only have mock exam results or something? I think I'm doing this specification: http://filestore.aqa.org.uk/resource...-2015-V1-2.PDF

Hey, I took this course this year. And depending on your school, you may sit two exams in your AS year externally like I did or take exams in July internally. The grades from these exams will count towards your predicted grade. These can be based upon your work throughout the year and mock results. You get marked on practicals due to colour scheme. Green meaning good, yellow as in between and red showing no skills whatsoever. These do not actually count towards your A-Level results and neither does your AS Results so you could get a C in AS Physics and an A at A2. Where previously, you may get an overall of a B, now only the A will be your final result.
