2nd year student here, my household makes ~£20,000 per year so naturally last year i received maximum maintenance grant and maintenance loan for my first year of study. This year the same information applies and my application (submitted in may without my parents information) had been assessed and payments have been scheduled for non means-tested loan. My parent supported the application about 10 days ago with all the required financial information, which should get me enough of a grant to get by. However, there is nothing on my account page that confirms that SFE are processing my parent's income or have even received the information, I know it takes a few weeks to review but is it normal to receive no update on my account page straight away?1 more question: I hear that since i'm a 2nd year student that was eligible for a maintenance grant in the first year, i'll be eligible for another maintenance grant? will this be processed along with my increased maintenance loan? The non means-tested grant isn't even enough for my rent, and those are the only payments that are scheduled right now (along with my tuition fee loan obviously), so i'm getting nervous.

They may have only just received your information and it may not have been put on the system.

As we do not have access to your account on The Student Room I would advise you to call us on 0300 100 0607 so we can access the account and ensure we have all the relevant information to income assess your application.
