    Hi All,

Just looking for some advice from everyone on what kind of firms I should be apply to this coming year with my grades and experience. I've done some research on the type of firms already etc but wouldn't mind asking some other people their thoughts as well. Any suggestions are most welcome. I graduated with 2:1, Non-RG Uni, good A-levels but with mitigating factors (ABC) and have worked as a paralegal for the last year in investment funds for a top US firm.

Based on my grades and experience, who do you think I have the best shot with?

Knowing the strength of your 2.1 would be useful, i.e low, mid, high? - module breakdown?

Academics are very important, probably moreso, since you're coming from a Non-RG uni.

Your paralegal experience should be valued. Have you considered a vacation scheme at the firm?

    * some info on your ECs at university too.

My 2:1 is just mid-level. The firm I work for does not take on trainees (so annoying despite being a City firm). I think Vac schemes are good but most of the ones I've seen look like MC/SC and therefore feel that I wouldn't get in with my grades. Kinda want to aim for something worth going for!

    Thanks,
    LT
