freshers tickets/ wristbands

ive ordered the bronze wristband for the student union run events but as for the other events I was wondering if it was wise to buy any in advance as they appear to be selling out and theres 'none on the door'. Ive seen that it not advised to get a wristband but don't want to miss out on any of the big events, will tickets become available if I just wing it?

Some of the events are already saying that theyre 90% sold out :frown:
