So I'm starting year 13 next week and we have been told to already consider university options. A few of my options are Manchester Met, Greenwich and Liverpool Hope. Anyway me and my dad were talking about Manchester and he said that it's not a good idea to go somewhere where I don't know anyone and there's no family around.
In the end he told me to do what I like and that he doesn't care...
As a result of this discussion I am already worried about this and was wondering if it is a good idea to go somewhere where idk anyone. ( although a part of me knows it's likely I'll be fine and nothing bad will happen to me)
    Help someone please ??

Most people go to universities in locations where they don't have any family and don't really know anyone.
