I sometimes have trouble understanding the meaning of words from just their dictionary definition so could someone be kind enough to tell me what context to use these words and what they think they mean.

veritable- I think it comes from veritas and has something to do with soomething being truthful, but in what sense

doctrine is it just a code that people live by?

tenacity
don't get

hegemony something to do with the influence a state has totally do not get this one

veritable - depends on context. could either be 'authentic' or it could mean a 'standard or regular'

doctrine - its just a rule/idea that forms part of a bodies belief.

tenacity - doggedness

hegemony - dominant ideology
