biggest discount on an apple laptop?

Hi does anyone know where I’ll get the biggest discount on an apple laptop? In the shop or over the internet? How much discount do you get?

You get the most discount by using the Higher Education Discount which gives around 13-15% off (it varies slightly between models.) The normal discount is only around 10%.

If you buy online or over the phone you also get a free 3 year warranty included. To buy online though you need to access the website from a university network. You maybe able to order over the phone if you tell them you have an unconditional once you have one. When I asked in the Apple Store they seemed to think I would be able to do this but they weren't sure.

In an Apple store you can get the discount by taking in a UCAS letter which states your offer is unconditional but you only get a 1 year warranty unless you pay an extra £58 for 3 years.

which usually costs £200, may I add.

And there has previously been a notice on the apple HE site saying computers come with a 3 yr warranty as standard.. this doesn't seem to be there anymore but if I were you I would call them and ask about this.

The only diffs between the warranty and applecare (that we can figure out) are that applecare has phone and software support but the standard HE warranty only covers hardware.
