I can play the guitar pretty decently.

For example, I know how to play Psycho by Muse and a few Nirvana songs. I can also play ACDC, Black Sabbath, The Cure etc. I can also play all the types of chords.

I have started writing my own songs and I think I can sing quite good.

I've come up with a few good guitar riffs.

And all this got me thinking... maybe I could form a band. A serious band... not any old childish band.

Thing is, none of my friends can play instruments and I don't know any other musical people.

So... anyone on here interested in being in a band?

I would prefer teenagers to just be in the band, male or female. I think it would be cool having a mixed band.

We would be playing rock songs.

I need a drummer, bassist, lead guitarist, and perhaps a keyboardist.

Please reply if you are interested.

    Thanks.

I'm into hard core rock. I like all the classic rock from the 70s, 80s and 90s but there isn't really a lot of rock out there these days.

I also like alternative rock. And some grunge rock.

    Yeah ok man...

I understand. I don't think you'd fit in this band.

I know grunge is dead. The whole point of the band is to bring back the good, old, grungy rock.

Would? by AiC, is that considered old grunge rock?

I haven't played any grunge songs, mostly funk and alt-rock.

Ah cool. Alt rock is good.

I think grunge might be too hard to master.

And yes, I think that song would be considered as grunge.

All the types of chords...ALL of them?! I think I know one person who might have bothered to do that, but he's basically a virtuoso on every instrument he touches. He's the kind of person who picks up an instrument he's never played in the morning and will have pretty much mastered it by the end of the day.

I've been playing for about fifteen years and, to be honest, I've never really found a need for chords beyond Major, Minor, Fifth, Seventh, Minor Seventh chords (even then, minor sevenths don't come up much, unless you play jazz I suppose).
