In my A2s I got AAA in Maths, Biology and Music but a B in Chemistry, the one most medical schools ask for. Is there anywhere that might accept this/ anywhere to steer clear of because this would mean an automatic rejection?

I have a good ps and meet all gcse requirements etc, this grade seems to cause problems though.

I'm looking into loads of unis right now but if anyone knows anything it would be much appreciated

I think some unis may accept you since you have an A in either Biology or Chemistry (I want to say UEA but check with them), but resitting to get that B to an A/A* would probably be best. There are 6 resit unis you could go for, some requiring an A*, some an A prediction in the subject you dropped a grade in. Try and squeeze for an A* and give it a go. Another option is trying for foundation year courses if you're eligible - these have lower grade requirements so will accept the B in Chemistry.

    Have a look here:

Might be a bit out of date, but suggests several Med Schools will accept Chemistry at AS and don't require it at A2, so check out the websites and or email/get on the phone. Good luck!

There is definitely 1 university - I can't remember who it is though, it's none of the major ones. You'll have to find it, unfortunately. Otherwise, you'll have to resit - it's (unnecessarily) the most important A Level for medicine.

Hi, could you please tell me which 6 Unis accept resits? I have been told that none do
