Hi, so I'm a second year student who has just moved into a new property with BAA and it is terrible! There is a huge amount of black, furry mold, the electricity keeps not working, and the microwave set itself on fire (we've only been here 2 weeks and really haven't used it that much). We have emailed them loads but they haven't responded to any of them. I was wondering if anyone had been in the same situation and what they did about it, or if anybody has any advice? Before anybody asks, we did check the house beforehand and it was nowhere near this bad. What do we do? Thank you for any replies!

    Hello,

The university does have a housing advice officer, who offers support and advice to students experiencing issues in the private renting sector. His name is Andrew and you can contact him on 01273641758, or by email on [email protected]
