I received my AS results and got 93% UMS in Politics, an A in English Lit (no UMS as reformed), a B in Economics (which I'm confident is going up to an A after the remark, as teachers were baffled about the B, as was I). I also got a high B in history which may also go up to an A. However as they look at the three best I expect that'll be AAA in Politics, English and Economics.

My UMS average would be 93%, but that's only politics, as the others are reformed and don't have it. How will my application be assessed if they can't see the UMS for the other two best?

    Planning to apply for HSPS.

They will see you have AAABB and you would also sit the pre-interview admissions assessment. Plus the rest of your application (GCSEs, PS, references, predictions, etc)

That's likely to be enough for an interview.

Bottom line: if you are on target to meet the typical offer it's worth applying.

So... They're not going to see my UMS in the reformed subjects, and thus won't care about them? So if I can get a prediction of A*AA or higher then an interview is on the table?

They care very much about the grades in reformed subjects.

But yes an interview is, I'd say, likely.
