I recently applied through Clearing at Goldsmiths University but I have already accepted a firm choice at another university. If I do get an offer from Goldsmiths, will I be able to contact my firm choice and ask to be let off the course?
I would be very thankful if someone is able to help me, as I am feeling very regretful of my decisions.

You are only put into clearing when your firm and insurance have rejected you.

So from what I've seen since you're still in contact with your Firm, you haven't been rejected yet.

Your firm choice will take a while to reject you, and the new uni might not be willing to wait that long.

So, I received an offer today and I'm thinking of calling the university of my firm choice tomorrow and asking them to be let off. Goldsmiths told me that I have 72 hours to accept their offer, but perhaps I could call them and explain what the situation is. Though I don't know if it's at all possible to have my firm choice removed from my choices in Ucas, so that I can add a new one.
