Contact with AFCO

Hi guys and girls, I recently got a letter back after sending off my 'interest form' for the RAF, it stated that the AFCO would shortly get in contact with me however it has been a week since that letter arrived and no contact.

I may have missed the phone call as I'm out of the house frequently but could anyone give me a timescale as to when I would be contacted?

Should I just phone them myself instead of waiting? If this is the case what is the point of sending off for the information pack?
I'm not saying this will happen to you, but i have a friend who sent off his initial "interest" form to his AFCO, and they never got back to him. So he sent off another one, and the same thing happened. (Maybe they were hinting at something - "L", if you read this sorry mate!)

He ended phoning another AFCO.

Maybe wait it out a week then give them a ring.

(You'll find there's a lot of waiting to be done throughout the process).

make a follow up call. Show you're interested and you're not waiting around, you're being proactive.

Absolutely right. The AFCO should have contacted you but for whatever reason things have not gone to plan. Call your AFCO and speak one to one with one of the recruiters. As you are from Shropshire I presume that Shrewsbury is your AFCO of choice. Their number is 01743 351292

Note for all: Never be afraid to call the AFCO, as one excellent poster puts it (in his name) they are "Here to Help"
