My laptop wasn't working so I did a system reset. All my programs and files have been erased is there any way to restore them?

Short answer, no. You did a system reset. It's designed to get rid of all your stuff. What exactly did you think would happen?

Long answer, possibly. You may be able to use file recovery software to get some of your files back depending on the type of reset you did. You may not on the other hand. Getting your programs back is probably not happening. It's possible there's a backup automatically generated by your OS somewhere as well, which may have documents or system files. But again you may not.

The short of it is you've returned your laptop to it's factory settings. You probably aren't getting any of it back and shouldn't have done a factory reset in the first place, not without backups at least.
