So i am gong to UWE this year and have managed to get a room in a flat last minute in 301 Cotswold court today. However, the moving in date isn't until the 16th of September, AFTER freshers week. Is anyone else having/had the same issue? i know that my flatmates will because i have heard it is the same with everyone in my flat. I do not want to miss freshers so have decided to stay in a hostel and will still be going to events, but i am still afraid that i will be missing out on meeting lots of people in my accommodation.

That is definitley unusual, I would point it out to the accomodation team. However if your whole halls are in the same boat then you won't miss out on meeting people, you'll just meet them a week later.
