Sixth-form starts in a week and I'm already procrastinating about my chosen subjects which are: Accounting, Business Studies, Economics and Maths. My preferred options would've been: Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Economics however I got a C in additional science which means I can't do biology and chemistry. Is Accounting, business, economics and maths a good combination? Also, will it open up good opportunities at uni????

Is it because, economics and business studies are similar?

Yes and as a result some universities do not like it

When I started sixth form 2 years ago we had the option of changing subjects if we really didn't like them / couldn't cope in the first few weeks, maybe that option will be open to you just in case.

With opportunities, it depends on the Uni course you will be applying for next year as they have certain requirements. This is a random example, but lets say if you wanted to study medicine you would need Chemistry and Maths A level for the vast majority if not all Unis providing that course. However there are some other courses which don't have any specific A level subjects that you must have done.

say a course, like computers/ computer science and maths (what I'm passionately interested in). What specific a levels am I meant to be doing in order to do computers/ computer science and maths?

    Thanks.

    Maths of course,
Have you considered further maths? What grade did you get in GCSE? I would only recommend it with an A at GCSE, at least.
Economics is more respected and I've heard more interesting than business, though I haven't done it.
Since science isn't the best option, maybe try computer science instead for what you want to do?

If you need any advice on Maths, Further maths, chemistry and Physics I'm here.

It depends on your college/sixth form but at my college I think a B in Maths and then 5A*-C passes is esseintal.
From my friends I've heard that, if you do maths, and you've got generally alright GCSE grades elsewhere, then computer science isn't massively difficult.
