Hi I have Just completed my first year in Aerospace engineering with a first, I'm looking forward to going on placement in 2017... but I would prefer something outside London. does anyone have any ideas about companies that provide accommodation or agencies that can help with this.

Companies are unlikely to work with agencies for placements (although it is possible that you may be employed via an agency for the placement - that happened to me, actually), it's much more likely to be something they'll handle themselves. So keep up to date with company websites, make speculative applications, and keep track of the likes of Gradcracker too.

You're probably going to have to pay for accommodation for your placement yourself, although I have heard of the odd company, like Centrica, that provide it.

Does your uni have a placement officer? What about people who have been on placement in the past?

Doing your own research is always great but it does help if you have some starting points. Anyway, good luck!
