I'm east Asian British, I'm a British citizen , I have a British passport, I have a national insurance number, I can work.

But sometimes my white friend - who has a lawyer dad btw - can't seem to grasp the idea of foreign looking people owning a British passport. They're confused as to how I can work and how my family have permit to work. They even said they feel like my family has done something dodgy to get into the country when in fact they came here for work which they got permission to do. Its like to them only white people can be British. ..

Well your "friend" is clearly ignorant.

In answer to your question, yes I do.

Sorry I know you said for non-white Brits only but I am white Brit and I have to say your friend, unless they were joking, and even then tbh, sounds like a complete racist who I would distance myself from.

I'm sorry you sometimes feel left out. I have a few friends, including my bff, who are from minority backgrounds and I would hate to think I made them feel left out of society because of their ethnicity.
