I am going to be applying to do a distance learning masters in the above course soon, as I need it to be able to progess in my career in HE libraries.

There is a course at Aberystwyth University and another at Robert Gordon, Aberdeen.

I am wondering whether there is anyone on this forum who has any experience with this course and can give me an idea about the modules offered? I am undecided as to which University I want to apply to. It would be good to be able to weigh up the pros and cons of both courses. Aber's course fees are cheaper, but do you get what you pay for? Aber's locaton also appeals to me a lot, but as a distance learner I would only be required to visit once or twice. The RGU course offers a lot more info about each module on the site. I am struggling to make a decision!

    Thank you

In terms of modules, they can easily be found on the uni's website. Email the uni and see if they can put you in touch with current or former students. Visit if you can.
Do you agree with the PM's proposal to cut tuition fees for some courses?
