I really want an admin job!! Like not just because I want to get paid, but because I would genuinely enjoy it.

I find it really hard to get this across in applications and interviews. I've been told by employers that my experience is too front line and not enough office based stuff.

Can anyone help me with advice on how to get an admin job. There is one in particular I am looking at right now.

This is legit a true story, my friend found a job from tinder. She set her filter to 30-55+ years old so was full of business men or guys who worked in offices and asked them if they knew of any admin jobs going. One guy was actually impressed about how she thought outside the box when looking for a job and asked her to come in for an interview and she got a job!

Amazing lol that's so jammy. I'd be worried about someone's motives hiring a girl off Tinder though, maybe them thinking it means something, or along similar lines as guys who hire purposely attractive secretaries. Maybe I'm being cynical! Anyway yeh I admire her thinking outside the box.

Have you tried agency work, internships or volunteer? A combination of these helped me get permanent jobs in admin work.

Thanks for the advice I've applied for a few volunteering roles, waiting to hear back. And I'm signed up to some agencies but I always really underuse them! As for internships I hadn't thought of looking for that kind of thing so I'll give it a go
