Can someone help me as to what the products of ch3ch2oh and ch3ch2ch2cocl would be? I got ch3ch2ococh2ch2ch3+hcl.......is this right?

Yep, that's right. An acyl chloride and an alcohol will form an ester and hcl.

As you probably already know, alcohols can also be mixed with carboxylic acids to form esters and water.
Esters can also be formed by mixing acid anhydrides and and alcohols.
