When it comes to putting in GCSEs it asks for the date of the award, for which i assume i put the exam date. However some where in May and some in June, and to be honest I cant remember which, what should I do?

put june for them all. they're really not going to care whatever you put though, and you may come across as slightly deranged if you've remembered what month each of your exams was in.

I put August, as it says put the date you expect to receive the certificate, August being when we got results.

I think they are more interested in the year to be honest...

Look at your certificates - they'll probably say June 06, but it may depend on the exam board (and of course, whether you did any early). If in doubt, put them all down as June.

Just put either June for them all or August for them all, but it really doesn't matter. As bonnie.grant said, it's only the year they care about.
