I am going to be Geography,Politics,History and English so its mostly all essay subjects, and I need to buy equipment. I already have folders but isn't having a notebook for each subject a better idea?

When I was in sixth form, I had one ring binder, which contained file dividers separating my subjects, a plastic wallet behind each divider to store loose sheets for each subject (until I could hole punch them at home and file them properly), and a few sheets of lined paper to write class notes on, which I topped up daily (rather than taking a whole refill pad). I also had one lever arch file that I kept at home, which I transferred my class notes into once the ring binder got full.

I used this system for both AS and A2, and I found that it worked well. It also saved me carrying several folders/notepads around

Thanks what subjects did you do? I am resittingyear 12 , and I did something similar but had to have a seperste ring binder for which subject. For bio chem maths history we got given so much stuff that my ring binders got nearly full, anyways near easter i just couldnt be asked and started to rely more on plastic wallets xD
