My family are thinking about going on holiday to our home country and whenever we go, we stay for a very long time to visit relatives, etc. However next year I have A Level results day and many people strongly advise people to not miss this day as it is very important just in case you don't meet your offer. But I'm just wondering, I'm applying for medicine and there are never any medicine clearing places so if I don't get in, I would just be taking a gap year. So is there still any reason for me to actually go to results day? Thanks for any help in advance!

I agree, just make sure you get your offer first and try to work at meeting them. If you don't get in then you can always take a gap year or apply via clearing for bio med. It's your choice bro but I agree with your idea initially

Make sure you have a plan in case you need a priority re-mark to secure your place.

If ordered on results Day they are normally back within 1-7 days and soon enough (if successful) to get you the place you need. (We had one that came back about 0930 on the Friday, place was confirmed at first choice university by lunchtime on the day after Results day.) Even a couple of days delay slows things up considerably.
