I think ordering department and/or course leaflets/brochures will be better as they give a lot more detail about their course than undergraduate prospectuses. The problem is that those department and/or course leaf/brochures won't have stuff about student life, accomodation, etc...

me and my twin brother had about 50 between us (the result of a very stupid competition at a university convention as to who could get the most free stuff *i won*), my mum recycled them all except for dundee (my 1st, and only, choice), sheffield (twin's 1st) and reading (twin's insurance)

we also had loads of pens, mouse mats, key rings, magnets, a teddy-bear stress toy, a collapsable frisbee and sweeties... yes we are unhealhtily competitive
