    Hello,
I may be able to offer a slight bit of help, or confuse you even more !
I did BTEC LV3 Certificate in IT (90 credit) alongside 3 other A-Levels, which is equivalent to an AS level.
90 credit is also equivalent to AS, so it is a 1 year course made up of 3 units.
However, 180 credit can be done in one year also, often referred to as the "double award" but it most commonly done over two years, 3 units each year.
It is worth speaking with your further education provider (sixth form/college) as they choose whether you'll do 90 credit course(one year, equivalent to AS) or 180 credit (one or two years, equivalent to the full A-level)

    Hope this helped,

    The above advice is incorrect.

The Certificate is 3 units, It is equivalent to 0.5 A Levels
The Sup Dip is 6 units and can be done in one year. It is equivalent to 1 A Level. (single)
The 90 credit is 9 units and yes it can be done in one year. It is equivalent to 1.5 A Levels.
The diploma is 12 units and is usually studies over two years. It is equivalent to two A Levels (double)
The Extended Dip is 18 Units and is done over two years. It is equivalent to 3 A Levels (triple)
