Student finance denied my tuition fees because my passport is expired and therefore not valid. I only found out about this two weeks ago because I was on holiday and havent been reading my emails. At that time I went straight to the lithuanian embassy to get my passport renewed but they told me i would only get it in 30 days. Which would be too late because the deadline is 1st september.
Now despite all of this my father is willing to pay for my tuition. I really need to know if I would be able to apply for student finance next year on the secondbyear of the course or if there is perhaps some way to get a full loan on my course because my father would get really stressed out if he had to finance my entire course.
I would really appreciate it if I could get any help or feedback on this because the lady I talked to on the finance helpline just shouted that I needed a valid passport by the deadline ten times. Thats really harsh considering I would get my passport before I am even supposed to start the course.

You can apply for student finance up to 9 months after your course starts. You need to inform your uni that your tuition fees will be late.
