I have a choice of doing Maths Chemistry and Bio
    OR
    Maths Psychology and Sociology
Which group of subjects is better and preferred by Uni's?
And what type of jobs and careers do each group of subjects offer?

Maths, Biology and Chemistry is definitely more preferred by universities. However if you feel like you won't be able to cope with those subjects i suggest you do take Maths, Psychology and Sociology. Do you know what degree you want to do at university that would help??

The first option is 100% preferred by Unis. But then again, do what you love to do. Better to get good grades on subjects you love than to take pressure to achieve the same result in the subjects you supposedly need

Criminology would require sociology and psychology
Doctor (Medicine) you need to have biology, chemistry and maths

If you're only doing 3 A Levels and want to have more options open to you i suggest you take Maths, Biology and Chemistry.

The first combo is considered more respectful and maths goes well with bio and chem, psychology and sociology are social sciences however they are quite essay based subjects whereas bio and chem are not so maths would help in those subjects
I say go with the combo that best fits your career choice and remember you do not need psychology/ sociology a level to do them at uni so don't think you have to choose them but you need bio and chem to do medicine so if you're going for medicine definitely pick the former combo

    1st combo careers
    Biologist
    Chemist
Doctor/nurse - anything in the field of medicine
    Teacher
    Scientist
    Mathematician
    Lecturer

    2nd combo
    Teacher
    Sociologist
    (Sorry not too sure here)
