War helped people become healthier in general, even those who weren't soldiers, the government improved housing and got rid of slums, this was because many soldiers were unhealthy when they joined the army

War improved people's diets as they introduced rationing, meaning people were eating healthier and the right amount

War helped to speed up the development of penicillin meaning cuts and wounds could not get infected, war put pressure on the government to fund scientists research and mass produce the drug

Surgeons had a lot of practice because so many soldiers were injured, they were able to do skin grafts and blood transfusions now

    War helped fight poverty

These are my notes I hope they helped if they need improving just message me.
