I am in year 13 and I am currently torn between doing Further Maths at AS level or simply sticking with standard A-level Maths. I took Further Maths last year, but my M2 and FP1 scores were not what I wanted. I will be applying for PPE; my question is, would universities be swayed much whether I do AS Further Maths or just standard maths?

I'd say it definitely depends on what universities you're thinking of applying to. For example Oxbridge may be interested in further maths because of the level of maths needed for the economics modules but for most universities it should be okay to stick with just maths, as at the end of the day, the grade you get is most important
