Any chance of med school, As level : A in English, B in biology, c in maths,chemistry Watch

    7 A* in GCSEs and 4 A's . School in.very structured with predicted grades, tutor asked not to apply for.medicine this year. As As level poor: a in English, b in biology, c in maths and chemistr

    It's a difficult situation. If you cannot get the predicted grades, then there is literally no point in applying. As AS grades don't count towards the final A Level grade, the best thing to do now is knuckle down and revise for your A Level exams next year - get AAA and hopefully try in clearing and if not, do so in the next applications cycle. You've got a good crop of GCSEs, so you're capable, it just appears you could do with some more revision.

    AS grades do count for some of the final A Level grade though, don't they?

    Nope. Not for the reformed subjects. She/he would need to resit maths modules, but that's only if she/he wants to take Maths to A2.

    But maths isn't reformed yet and wont be until next year?

    That's why I said she/he would NEED to resit maths if she/he wanted to take it to A2.

    Thanks guys, tutor asked me to drop maths(c) and do English, bio and chemistry
