So i have a black box on my car, and i was wondering if it picks up temporary speed changes on roads.

So lets say a road's speed limit is usually 50 mph...but due to some road works, signs have been put up, reducing the speed limit to 30 mph. Do black boxes pick up the temporary speed limit change, thus if you go over 30 mph, you're in jeopardy?

Most black boxes don't track whether you break the speed limit. It's usually about overall speed / avg speed per journey. If you go 100mph in a 30 zone it won't make a difference to the black box.

Does your black box definitely judge you based on speed limits? check your policy mate

Well yes it does. On the policy it says if you're speeding, your driving score lowers, and remaining within the speed limits improves the score.

Ah fair enough. Most policies don't have that so just thought to check.
