I know that when you are applying to university by UCAS, personal statements have to be around 4,000 characters. Does this or does this not include spaces? Can anyone help?! Thanks

It includes spaces and most people hit the 47 line limit long before the character limit.

You should be aiming at around 3,200-3,600 characters to fit within the line limit
